What is “Take Back the Flight”?

After my own experience with airplane sexual assault in 2011, finding support and resources to help me report and recover from the experience was incredibly difficult because most sex crime resources are aimed at victims of rape or incest on the ground.

Since then, there has been a disturbing surge in these kinds of sex crimes on airplanes – and yet until now, has been no central resource center available to victims of sexual assaults that occur in airplanes.

This site exists to provide a place of solace, information, education, support, and more to victims of in-flight sexual assaults. Whether you’re seeking direction on how to report your crime, resources for emotional support, or a place to connect with professionals who are equipped to care for and guide you through your experience… this site aims to help you recover enough to take back your confidence to fly, but more importantly, to help you personally soar.

If you are a victim of a sexual assault that occurred while in-flight, Take Back the Flight (and I) are here for you.
